Aamjiwnaang First Nation continues blockade of CN Rail, Mayor of Sarnia and city police ask for meeting

Where: Aamjiwnaang First Nation Blockade (Williams Drive off Scott Road)
Citizens of Aamjiwnaang First Nation continue a blockade of CN rail, in support of the Idle No More movement. The Mayor of Sarnia and city police have asked for a meeting to present an offer to the end of the blockade.
Aamjiwnaang Citizens are indicating they will continue the blockade until Chief Teresa Spence is granted a meeting with Prime Minister Harper, and there is recognition of the historical injustice inflicted upon the community. The meeting will take place at 11 am tomorrow, on the blockade.

Unity Walk and Rally in support of the IDLE NO MORE movement
11:00am – Opening Ceremony. All drummers welcome!
12:00pm – Start March to HWY 402 down Front Street. Vehicle Convoy will follow march.
12:30pm – Arrive at HWY 402 and enter from Front Street
1:15pm – Arrive at 402 rally. This is where people can choose to get out of vehicles and begin the March on the 402 taking up all of the Eastbound lanes. Remember to have one person designated as your vehicle driver. The walkers will lead the way and march towards Indian road, vehicles will follow in a convoy. A designated elders bus/van will lead the vehicle convoy ensuring their participation and opportunity for breaks.
2:00pm – Exit HWY on to Exmouth Street from Indian Road exit.
